In her own words, Michael explains, "The motivation behind my art is to break the rules and not fit into any box, while building self-expression." Inspired by life experiences, science, fashion, music, spirituality, and nature, her creative process is deeply personal and therapeutic, driven by her inner self and the present moment. She draws inspiration from fellow independent artists, pushing her boundaries further.

Detailing her artistic process, Michael shares, "To create a collage or artwork, I first decide the mood," drawing from her state of mind or past experiences. She writes a short poem to guide the artwork's energy and sketches ideas to visualize her thoughts, often focusing on women's portraits.

Application: 

In my project, I'll blend vivid colors with black and white to create stark contrast, drawing from Kaylan Michael's style. Afrocentric patterns will add cultural depth, while distortion techniques will evoke surrealism. Overlay effects will enhance storytelling, inspired by Michael's digital manipulation. Overall, I aim to create visually captivating art that explores identity and imagination.
